a murder of cranes; a siege of crows

As a flute and shakuhachi player themselves, Devon's work for two Kingma System flutes seamlessly mediates between the two influences amid a cacophony of sounds taken from nature in the electronics. The works builds to the central multiphonic chorale which creates a shifting, microtonal wall of sound before fading into the distance with a gesture present in the performance of Tsuru no Sugamori.
